Marion Benton

Marion Benton, daughter of the late Steve Talach and Mary Slapek Talach, was born June 20, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., and died at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at the age of 77.

Mrs. Benton was a former employee with Bulova Watch Company in Lancaster, Pa., and a current resident of Dexter.

On March 25, 1972, she was united in marriage to Vincent Benton in St. Charles, Ill. Mr. Benton preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1996.

Survivors include one son, Donald R. Axelsen of St. Charles, Ill.; one daughter, Marilyn Cliff of Dexter; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at Conestoga Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lancaster, Pa.
