Glendle G. Beaird

Glendle G. Beaird, son of the late John Henry and Emma Newton Beaird, was born in Parma on June 1, 1919 and passed away at the Portageville Nursing Center on Sept. 18, 2008 at the age of 89.

Mr. Beaird had lived all of his life in Parma before moving to Portageville less than one year ago. He had worked at Federal Mogul in Malden and was a member of the Church of Christ in Parma.

On Nov. 28, 1940, he was married to Flossie Juanita Garland. She preceded him in death on Feb. 29, 2008.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers Sam and Willie Beaird, and two sisters, Lola Tucker and Maggie Mayberry.

Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma with Bro. Bud Mayes of Malden officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
