Joyce Sloan

Joyce Sloan, 67, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at her Sikeston home.

She was born on July 10, 1941, in Sikeston, the daughter of Tonie Geraldine (Freeman) Mays Conner of Sikeston and the late Quinn Anderson Mays. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston.

Mrs. Sloan had worked for In Home Healthcare and Pyramid Healthcare.

On January 16, 1958, she married Bill Sloan in Morehouse and he survives of the home.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Billy Sloan, Jr., of High Ridge; three daughters, Vickie Sloan of East Prairie, Stephanie Roberts and Lisa Etherton of Morehouse; three brothers, Larry Mays of Greenville, Tx., Danny Mays of Manilla, Ark., and Wayne Mays of Dudley; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time. Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
