Cleatie Cox

Cleatie Cox, 89, of Advance was born on Jan. 11, 1919 at Swinton, the son of Claude and Edna Pearl Frye Cox and died on Oct. 12, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Cleatie retired from the Piston Plant in Malden , where he had worked as a laborer. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two brothers; Lloyd Cox and Warren Cox, both of Burley, Idaho and a sister, Maude Dalton, of California, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Harley, Eugene and Dorsey Lee.

Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 and funeral services followed at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Gary Cooper officiating.

Interment followed at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
