Hubert Breece

Hubert Breece, son of the late Nathan and Pearl Brown Breece, was born on Sept. 19, 1922, in Parma and died in the Gideon Care Center in Gideon on Oct.16, 2008, at the age of 86.

Mr. Breece was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and a long-time resident of Dexter.

On July 6, 1951, he was united in marriage to Mary Vlahandres in Grand Rapids, Mich. Mrs. Breece preceded him in death on March 30, 2005.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Breece of Haiku, Hawaii, and Ronald Breece of San Diego, Calif.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hershel Breece, Russell Breece and Howard Breece; and by one sister, Marie Smith.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Bernie Cemetery. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements
