Doy Creed

Doy Creed, son of the late Alfred Leroy and Cora Elizabeth Dempsey Creed was born at Bloomfield on July 26, 1911 and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Oct. 18, 2008 at the age of 97.

Mr. Creed spent all his life in Southeast Missouri and was a resident of Bloomfield at the time of his passing.

He was a retired farmer and was married to Floye Juanita White.

Survivors include his wife Floye Creed of Bloomfield, two sons, Doy Creed Jr. of Dexter and Kenny Creed of Olive Branch, Miss., three daughters, Jan Crowley of Dexter, Carolyn McLaughlin of Holt, and Joyce Vandeutekom of Maryville, Il, one sister, Carrie Capps of Washington, 12 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends survive to mourn his passing.

Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Oct. 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Bob Holland officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico.
