Margaret Lillian Thomas

Margaret Lillian Thomas, daughter of the late John Perry and Ester Huffman Vaughn, was born at Kansas City on Oct. 24, 1920, and died at Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at the age of 88.

Mrs. Thomas lived in Qulin for many years but had been a resident of Bloomfield since 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield and a member of the Bloomfield Order of the Eastern Star. On Sept. 5, 1942, she was married to Paul Eugene Thomas, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1987.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Ann Sifford of Bloomfield, Jane Thomas of O'Fallon, and Rosemary Webb of Frostproof, Fla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by Jackie Paul Thomas.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home iin Bloomfield.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Johnny Buttry officiating.

Interment followed in the Sparkman Cemetery near Poplar Bluff.
