Billy D. Williamson, son of the late W.J. and Mary Anna Fortner Williamson, was born in Essex on June 9, 1932, and died at his home in Sikeston on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2008, at the age of 76.

Mr. Williamson had lived in Essex for many years before moving to Sikeston 38 years ago. He was retired from Triangle Manufacturing in Sikeston and was of the Baptist faith.

On Sept. 26, 1953, he was married to Carol B. Uhland in Dexter.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Williamson of Sikeston; two sons, Mike Williamson of Salem and Jeff Williamson of Matthews; two daughters, Vicki Rodgers and Tammy Sloan, both of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rachael Smith of Dexter and Jean DeJournett of Essex.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, his twin Bob, Marion, Parvin and Marvin Williamson; two sisters, Lorene Barker and Ruth Fulkerson.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Norman Ogles of Puxico officiating.

Interment will follow in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
