She had been a resident of Gideon and was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarkton. She belonged to WMU of the church and TOPS Club in Campbell.
On May 5, 1977, she was united in marriage to Ray Kenneth Midgett, and he survives of the home. Other survivors include six daughters, Lori Castaneda of Arthur, Iowa, Mae Galindo of Oak Creek, Wis., Jeannie Moreno of Clarkton, Della Garris of Dexter, Shelly Galindo of Milwaukee, Wis., and Esperanza Matthews of Forrest City, Ark.; three sons, Terry Cunningham of Forrest City, Ark., Jesse Midgett of Clarkton, Larry Matthews of Parsons, Tenn.; two sisters, Kay Cunningham and Bonnie Puente, both of Clarkton; two brothers, James "J.L." Cunningham and Ronnie Cunningham, both of Gideon; 28 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Linda Sue Trammell; four brothers, Otis, Dexter, Lonnie and Donnie Cunningham; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden with Rev. Richard Blagg and Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in Stanfield Cemetery.
