Bryan Michael Maslinski

Bryan Michael Maslinski, aka "Maz," the son of David Robert and Karen Lynn Maslinski, was born in Chicago, Ill. on Sept. 2, 1987, and died at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Nov. 9, 2008, at the age of 21.

Bryan grew up in Bruceton, Tenn. and moved to Dexter in 2003. He had played football for Dexter High School and that was his passion, along with the music of Pink Floyd, the Beatles and The Doors. Bryan was of the Baptist faith. He worked at Dexter Pizza Company.

Surviving are his parents of Dexter, two brothers, Marshall Maslinski of Dexter, and Austin Marvel of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Jennifer, Jamie and Julie, all of Dexter, three nieces, Michelle, Mikenna, and Makenzie. He is also survived by his special friends, Sarah Metcalf, Abby Cobb, Jason Patterson, and all his Dexter Pizza Company "family."

Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 and a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter officiating.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial fund to assist the family with funeral expenses has been established at Bank of Advance in Dexter.
