James F. Boone

James F. Boone, 73, was born on Feb. 24, 1935, in Kennett, the son of Randolph and Katherine (Tucker) Boone and died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, in Brighton, Mich., where he had been a resident.

On May 11, 1963, he was united in marriage to Joan Johnson in Wayne County, Mich. He was a member of the Western Wayne Conservation Club and an avid fisherman.

Preceding him in death was his father, Randolph Boone; and a brother, Ben Boone.

Survivors include his mother, Katherine Boone of Dexter; one daughter, Debi McFarland of Howell, Mich.; three sons, James Boone, Jr. of Delta, Ohio, Dennis Cox of Marshall, Mich., and Michael Cox of Canton, Mich.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Southern and Joy Burns.

Services were conducted at noon on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Herrmann Funeral Home with Chaplin Tim Brokaw officiating.
