She had lived in Granite City, ill., for several years and moved to Dexter 22 years ago. She had worked at Arvin Automotive for 19 years.
She was married to Lyman Cookson in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2008.
Surviving are her daughter, Marva Cookson of Dexter; one grandson; one sister, Marjorie Sadler of Bloomfield; three brothers, Ken Warren of Madison, Ill., Larry "Butch" Warren of Granite City, Ill., and Wayne Warren of Salem.
She was preceded in death by three sister, Shirley Warren, Arvona Walker and Kay Nevels.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Bill Pennington of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
