Mr. Kinworthy was born May 22, 1925, in Dexter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Europe and the German Liberation. He was widely known in southeast Missouri as a dealer in used farm equipment.
On July 18, 1947, he married Dorothy Jarrell in Dudley. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Ed Kinworthy and his wife, Jan, of Poplar Bluff, Larry Kinworthy and his wife, Marilyn, of Marion, Ill., Allen Kinworthy and his wife, Miriam, of Decatur, Ala. and Lindell Kinworthy of Byhalia, Miss.; two sisters, Kathryn Blythe of Dexter and Norma Overbey of Puxico; eight grandchildren, Jill Burcham and her husband, Mike, and James Hays, all of Springfield, Todd Kinworthy of Poplar Bluff, Jon Kinworthy of Edwardsville, Ill., Annie Kinworthy of Statesville, N.C., Eric Kinworthy of Decatur, Ala., Kevin Hays of Kansas City and Laura Hays of Nashville, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren, Kyra, Ella and Cade Burcham of Springfield and Elizabeth and Samuel Kinworthy of Poplar Bluff; and six nieces and nephews, Sandra Norris, Michael Kinworthy, Dana Craig, Kenny Kinworthy, Sue Weber and Tara Miller.
Mr. Kinworthy was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Hettie Kinworthy of Dexter; one daughter, Sharon Hays; one brother, Herbert Kinworthy; and one sister, Virginia Harris.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel with Pastor Greg Whittle officiating.
Burial will be in Dudley Cemetery.
