John Riley Morgan

Jon Riley Morgan was born on Jan. 25, 1944 in Matthews and died at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008 at the age of 64.

Mr. Morgan had lived in Dexter for the past 18 years and attended Second General Baptist Church in Dexter. He was a farmer and on May 21, 1967, he married Charlene Fiske, and she survives of the home in Dexter.

He is also survived by a son, John David Morgan (Carolyn) of Fisk, and a daughter, Cherie Cliff (Steve) of Dexter. Four brothers and a sister also survive: Robert Greer and James Morgan of Benton, Harry Morgan of Warner Robins, Ga., and Roger Morgan of High Point, NC, and Rita Kidd of Sikeston.

Six grandchildren also survive: Chelsea Morgan, Taylor Morgan, Alex Cliff, Morgan Cliff, Christian Morgan and Jaysea Morgan.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 at White Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk at 4 p.m. and funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at 10 a.m. at White Sanders Funeral Chapel in Fisk.

Interment will follow in Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
