Nina Mae Clubb, daughter of the late Arthur Markland and Laura Atkisson Markland, was born on Sept. 23, 1913, near Dexter and died in the Golden Living Center at Bloomfield on Dec. 5, 2008, at the age of 95.
Mrs. Clubb was of the Baptist faith, a former seamstress at Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter, a former resident of Dexter currently residing in Bloomfield.
She was united in marriage to Elvis Clubb on April 4, 1953, at Dexter. Mr. Clubb preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1975.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Janus Cole Kling of Goreville, Ill.; two grandchildren and spouses, Brian and Sharon Cole and Cheryl and Michael Abner; five great-grandchildren, Samuel Clinton Cole, Anna Marie Cole, Cole Michael Absher, Reed Mason Absher and William Samuel Absher; four nieces; and two nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Sammy Cole; four brothers, Arthur Markland, Henry Markland, Sam Markland and James Markland; and two sisters, Anna Irene Gordon and Mary McManus.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.
Interment will follow in the Ezell Cemetery near Dexter.
