Mr. Pennington had lived in Cape Girardeau and Marble Hill for 30 years with the remaining years in Puxico and Wapppapello. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Puxico. He had been the bass singer for the Missourian Quartet and the Faithman Quartet. His favorite hobby was fishing.
On June 10, 1947, he was married to Helen Andrews in Fornfelt.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Pennington of Wappapello; one son, Dan Pennington of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Carolan Landewee of Leopold; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at 11a.m. in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating.
Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
