She was united in marriage on June 9, 1962, to Kenneth Fortner in Malden, and he survives of the home.
She was a member of Bethany General Baptist Church in Campbell and had been a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Fortner of Bernie; two daughters, Lisa Fortner of Columbia and Amy Fortner of Nashville, Tenn.; and one brother, Ronnie Wagoner of Eminence.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Laura Fortner; and one brother, Louis Wagoner.
Visitation was held after 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Bob Comer officiating.
Interment followed in Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
The family has suggested that memorials be made to Alzheimer's Association.
