James C. Copeland

James C. Copeland, 62, of Harrison, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, in Springfield. He was born July 19, 1946, in Harrison, Ark.

James was a lifelong resident of Harrison, Ark. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce of Harrison, Ark.; one son, John Copeland of Harrison, Ark.; five daughters, Jodie Mills of Reeds Springs, Janice Marshall, Jeannette Sheppard, Jamie McLeod, all of Harrison, Ark., and Lori Moore of Dexter; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vestie Copeland; two brothers, Alton and Archie; and one sister, Maudie.

There will be a memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at the Bergman High School. An account has been set up with Bank of the Ozarks for memorials.
