Thomas Earl Trout, the son of the late James Ora and Dottie Mae Wright Trout, was born in Campbell on July 19, 1930, and died at the Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau on Jan. 24, 2009, at the age of 78.

Mr. Trout had lived in Pontiac, Mich. for 33 years where he worked at General Motors. He moved to Dexter 25 years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.

On April 15, 1954, he was married to Shelby Jean Limbaugh in Pontiac, Mich.

Surviving are his wife, Shelby Jean Trout of Dexter; one son, Steven Earl Trout of Dexter; three daughters, Robin Jo Turner of Rutledge, Tenn., Tracey Ann Jones of Fayetteville, N.C., Kim Michele Miller of Clarkston, Mich.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mavis Gray of Puxico, Mary Lee Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Opal Lee Wilson of Arnold, and Virginia Vail Lambert of Dexter. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Leatrice Limbaugh, Irene Abernathy and Dora Lee Trout.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, after 5 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Pastor Harold Sitze of Puxico officiating.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
