Rick Conner, son of Hazel Lane of Dexter and the late Roy Conner, was born on Oct. 20, 1947, at Dexter and died in the Landmark Hospital at Cape Girardeay on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at the age of 61.
Mr. Conner was a former production supervisor at Purolator Filter Company in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Army and a resident of Dexter.
He was united in marriage to Brenda Williams on Dec. 19, 1969, at Bloomfield, and to this union one son was born. Mrs. survives of the home near Dexter.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Brian Conner of Dexter; his mother, Hazel Lane of Dexter; one brother, Charles Conner of Dexter; two sisters, Rose Gordon of Dexter and Treva Carlisle of Hartford, Mich.; and one grandson, Luke Michael Conner of Dexter.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Granville Conner, Nick Conner and Leroy Conner.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating.
Interment followed in Dexter Cemetery.
