He was married to Esther Smith, who survives. Rampley was a retired material cutter for Elder Manufacturing. He attended the Church of Christ and was a member of the Amvets Post in Bloomfield, and a Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Also surviving are two sons, Kirk Anderson, of Jackson; and Scott Anderson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Dale Rampley and Larry Rampley both of Bloomfield; four sisters, Evelyn Hardin of Bloomfield, Norma Deal and Mildred Bartolo, both of Scott City; and Linda Jennings of Bernie; by several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held in Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home at Bloomfield, Saturday, Jan. 31,, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at 2 p.m. with Kenneth Gaines officiating. Burial will be in the George Cemetery near Bloomfield.
