Virgil Harvey Bell

Virgil Harvey Bell, son of the late Virgil Harvey and Edith Elliott Bell, was born in Allenton on March 26, 1928, and died at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on Feb. 10, 2009, at the age of 80.

Mr. Bell had lived in Henderson, Ky., until moving to Puxico in 1972.

In March, 1950, he was married to Anna Eldora Porter. She preceded him in death on May 23, 1977.

Surviving are two sons, Virgil Eugene Bell of Gray Summitt and Thomas Steven Bell of Villa Ridge; two step-daughters, Joyce Jenkins of Dexter and Angela Proffer of Puxico; and eight grandchildren.

Private family services were held.

Interment was in the Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, Ky., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
