Ruth Flannery Johnson

Ruth Flannery Johnson, daughter of the late Joseph Eugene Gaines and Dora McDaniel Gaines, was born on June 25, 1936, at Essex and died in her residence at Dexter on Feb. 7, 2009, at the age of 72.

Mrs. Johnson was a former nurse's aide at the Regional Center For The Developmentally Disabled at Sikeston and a resident of Dexter.

She is survived by four sons, Leslie Flannery of Malden, Michell Flannery of St. Louis, Douglas Flannery and Scott Flannery, both of Bernie; five daughters, Helen Flannery of Dexter, Kate Aiello and Lynn Michelle Gaines, both of Sikeston, Rebecca Flannery and Kimberly Flannery, both of the state of Illinois; one brother, Gene Gaines of Sikeston; two sisters, Maxine Dalton of Sikeston and and Virginia Ogden of Poplar Bluff; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

There are no services planned for Mrs. Johnson.
