Mrs. Goetz had lived in St. Ann's, Chester and Cahokia, Ill., before moving to Dexter two years ago. She had worked as a seamstess at various factories. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter. She loved sewing, music and singing.
On July 13, 1946, she was married to Charles William Goetz in Percy, Ill. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2007.
Surviving are one daughter, Betty Cobb of Dexter; two sons, Robert Lee Goetz of Cahokia, Ill., and Richard Joe Goetz of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert Winterburg of Willisville, Ill.; and one sister, Ida Joust of Steelville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by three sons, William Frank Goetz, Charles Edward Goetz and David Allen Goetz.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, from 11a.m. until 2 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter with the Rev. Joseph Geuin of Dexter and Rev. David Illig, Jr. of Kennett officiating.
Interment will be on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, Ill., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
