Helen Beatrice "Bea" Pullum, the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Edna Estelle Brack Gromer, was born in Morley on Aug. 19, 1924, and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Feb. 13, 2009, at the age of 84.

Mrs. Pullum had lived in the Essex and Bloomfield areas most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

On Aug. 28, 1942, she was married to William Harold "Harry" Pullum in Bloomfield, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2007.

Surviving are two brothers, A. D. Gromer of Belleville and John Gromer of Rochester Hills, Mich.; three sisters, Dorothy Lewis of Bell City, Mary Kinder of Dexter, and Stella Absher of Rayville, La.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Don Lafferty of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment followed in the Bluff Cemetery in Idalia with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
