William Burton Morgan

William Burton Morgan, son of the late John F. Morgan and Lela M. Haynes Morgan, was born on Dec. 3, 1943 in Henderson County, Tenn., and died at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff on Feb. 16, 2009 at the age of 65.

Mr. Morgan was self-employed and had formerly worked at Dudley Enterprise in Dudley. He was a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Reba Floyd on May 9, 1959 in Caruthersville. Mrs. Morgan survives of the home.

Besides his wife, other survivors include two sons, Donald Morgan and Rondall Morgan, both of Dexter; two daughters, Carla Ide of Barnhart and Darla Morgan of Dexter; one brother, Emerson Morgan of Duck River, Tenn.; one sister, Evelyn Nolan of Caruthersville and 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Chester Morgan.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the American Legion Hanks Kenady Post, 620 W. Oak St., Dexter, Mo.
