Ronald Froman, son of the late Harry C. and Grace L. Gribler Froman, was born in Detroit, Mich., on May 18, 1940, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Feb. 17, 2009, at the age of 68.

Mr. Froman had lived in Michigan, Arkansas and St. Louis before moving to Zalma. He had worked at B and M Auto Parts, Shaeffer Power Panels, the City of Paragould, Ark., Penzel and Cotton Roberts in Arkansas and had worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool and restoring old cars.

On Dec. 29, 1973, he was married to Shirley Ann Dunning in Arkansas.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Froman of Zalma; one son, Gary Bruce Froman of Scott City; one daughter, Donna Hendershott of Advance; one grandchild; two brothers, Harry C. Froman, Jr. and Mitchell Froman, both of Zalma.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. LeeRoy Hefner of Wappapello officiating.

Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant-Jimmerson Cemetery near Gipsy.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
