Betty Ruth Mott

Betty Ruth Mott, the daughter of the late Paul Jerome and Zelma Boyd Findley, was born in Leachville, Ark., on March 24, 1939, and died at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Feb. 24, 2009. at the age of 69.

Mrs. Mott had lived in Essex most of her life. She was retired from Horizon Manufacturing in Advance and was a member of the Bird's Corner Assembly of God Church.

In 1960, she was married to David Mott in Bird's Corner.

Surviving are her husband David Mott of Essex; one daughter, JoAnn Holt of Essex; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and James Warren Findley.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Dale Gregory of Puxico officiating.

Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
