Eunice Pixley, daughter of the late Walker Jarrell and Amanda Norman Jarrell, was born on Nov. 2, 1922, at Parma and died in her residence at Dexter on Feb. 23, 2009, at the age of 86.

Mrs. Pixley was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Bernard Pixley on Jan. 9, 1964, at Bernie. Mr. Pixley survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mary Miranda and Linda Summers, both of Dexter, and Janell Walden of Cape Girardeau; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Allen Martin and Russell Eugene Martin and by two step-sons, Dale Pixley and Jimmie Pixley; five brothers, Raymond Jarrell, Iman Jarrell, Wilson Jarrell, Clyde Jarrell and Claude Jarrell; three sisters, Ora Lee Jarrell, Mary Jarrell and Anna Jarrell.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Petty and Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
