Harry Foster, son of the late William Edgar Foster and Laura Boss Foster, was born on Nov. 30, 1927, in Illmo and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on March 3, 2009 at the age of 81.

Mr. Foster was the owner of Foster Landgrading, a retired plasterer, farmer, car-rebuilder and resident of rural Dudley.

On July 24, 1946 he was united in marriage to Wanda Lee Fleeman in Dexter. Mrs. Foster survives of the home near Dudley.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Foster and Harry Don Foster of Dexter; one step-brother, John Jackson of Dexter; one sister, Margie DeJournett of Jackson; one step-sister, Betty Mosbey of Dexter; two grandsons, Todd Foster of Dexter and Dylan Foster of St. Louis; two great-grandchildren, Megan Foster and Ryder Foster.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Foster and Carl Foster; one sister, Mildred Walker; and by one grandson, Brad Foster.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Warren officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
