William Darrol Rampley

William Darrol Rampley, the son of the late Joseph and Blanche Duff Rampley, was born in Bell City on Aug. 28, 1935, and died at the Lindley Health Care in Newport, Ark., on March 25, 2009, at the age of 73.

Mr. Rampley had worked in St. Louis before moving to Arkansas. He was a farmer, enjoyed hunting fishing and just being outdoors. He was baptized as a young man and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

He was married to Virginia Miles, and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Honey of Newport, Ark.; three granddaughers, Katlin, Amy and Aliesha Newberry; one brother, Willard Rampley of Mustang, Okla.; three sisters, June Cooke of Hernando, Miss., JoAnn Howerton of Springfield and Jean Bechel of Chino Hill, Calif.. Other relatives and many friends survive to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Kenneth Gaines of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
