Dollie Dye, daughter of the late Rufus William Anderson and Basha Briley Anderson, was born on Sept. 2, 1912 near Clifton, Tenn. and ddied in the Malden Nursing Center on March 26, 2009 at the age of 96.

Mrs. Dye was a member of the Bernie General Baptist Church, had worked on the family farm, and was a homemaker and resident of Bernie.

She was united in marriage to Clarence Carl Dye on Oct. 18, 1930 at Cardwell. Mr. Dye preceded her in death on June 2, 1993.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Dye of Malden and Rickey Dye of Kennett; by one daughter, Zola Mae Crow of Warrenton; by eight grandchildren, sixteen-great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Charlie Franklin Anderson, Richard William Anderson, Alfred Iaasic Anderson, Goldie Anderson and Cecil Burlis Anderson; by four sisters, Sallie Mae Ray, Nancy Anderson Marshall, Bessie Anderson and Myrtle Anderson Hill.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rick Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
