Lilith Ivorene Creg

Lilith Ivorene Creg, daughter of the late Luther and Bertha Ward Davis, was born on July 18, 1918 in Bernie and died at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the age of 90.

Mrs. Creg was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Wilburn Leonard Creg on Aug. 18, 1934 at Bernie. Mr. Creg preceded her in death on July 10, 2003.

She is survived by one son, Gary Creg of Eureka and by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Clyde Dale Creg, Bobby Gene Creg and Wilson Lee Creg; by two brothers, Kenneth Davis and Luther Thomas "Junior" Davis and by one sister, Geraldene Griffey.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Rev. Dean Williams officiating.
