Bill Garner, son of the late Bert Garner and Goldie Dillingham Garner was born on May 17, 1938 at Dexter and died in the Saint Louis University Hospital on April 2, 2009 at the age of 70.

Mr. Garner was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) in Dexter, the former co-owner of Garner Appliance in Dexter, a former maintenance employee of the Dexter Public School System and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Betty Sue LeBeau on May 20, 1962 at Dexter. Mrs. Garner survives of the home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Kaye Holder and Ginger Cobb, both of Dexter and Penny DuPerier of Jackson; by nine grandchildren, Kristin Lee Holder, Kelsey Lane Holder, Zachary Rule DuPerier, William Garner DuPerier, Megan LeBeau DuPerier, Abigail Rene Cobb, Erika Rae Cobb, Rachel Elizabeth Cobb and Andrew Dean Garner.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Dean Garner; and by one brother, Lyman Garner.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 4:30 p.m. until 6: p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009. Graveside services will then follow at the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Building Fund, 224 East Stoddard Street, Dexter, Mo. 63841.
