Homer Lee Craft, son of the late Eddie Craft and Emmor Pippins Craft, was born on Sept. 23, 1915, at Townley and died at his residence in Berniei on April 7, 2009, at the age of 93.
Mr. Craft was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bernie.
He was united in marriage to Ruth Horton on Sept. 10, 1942 at Piggott, Ark. Mrs. Craft survives of the home in Bernie.
Other survivors include one son, Homer Lee Craft II and wife JoAnn of Memphis, Tenn.; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents by six brothers, Rube Craft, Guy "Bill" Craft, Virgil Craft, LeRoy Craft, Earl Craft and Tom Craft; two sisters, Pansy Teeters and Pearl Walker.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Bill Garrett officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with full military honors.
