Thelma Wandalee Hagy, daughter of the late Lonnie W. Kelley and Lucy Pulliam Kelley was born on May 21, 1939 in Doniphan and died at her Dudley residence on April 13, 2009, at the age of 69.

She was first united in marriage to Luther E. Swift Sr. and later to Norris Temples, and both preceded her in death. On Aug. 23, 2007, she was united in marriage to Oliver Hagy in Dudley. Mr. Hagy survives of the home in Dudley.

Besides her husband, other survivors include three sons, Luther E. Swift, Jr. and David Swift, both of Decatur, Ill., and Mike Swift of Harris Town, Ill.; two daughters, Audrey Mendenall and Debra Woods, both of Decatur, Ill.; two step-sons, Ricky L. Hagy of Dudley and Oliver D. Hagy of Granite City, Ill.; six brothers, Mac McNew of Salem, Ore., Bill McNew of Castle Rock, Wash., Cecil McNew of West Palm Beach, Fla., Buster Brown of Piedmont, Farrel Kelley of Bloomfield and Clinton Kelley of Dexter; five sisters, Evelyn Knoblock of Anderson, Ind., Ethel Tillmon of Doniphan, Georgia Howell of Dexter, Margie Moniz of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Shirley Thomas of Jonesboro, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Crystal Marie Watson, Jessie Woods, Billy Woods, Sky Swift, Heather Swift, Ryan Mendenall, Everett Swift, and Ricky Hagy, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Santana Watson and Christan Morrison.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles McNew; and by one grandson, Jerry L. Watson, Jr.

Visitation will be at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2009, with Rev. Danny Collins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
