Dorothy Myers Odom

Dorothy Myers Odom, the daughter of the late Amos A. and Ruby Mays Hunt, was born in Dexter on Aug. 23, 1927, and died at the Malden Nursing Center in Malden on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the age of 81.

Mrs. Odom had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a Baptist.

On Sept. 14, 1980, she was married to James Lee Odom, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1990.

Surviving are two daughters, Trischia Telker of Malden and Tammy Boulay of Leeds, Mass.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Gunter of Norfolk, Va., and Wanda Toma of Ozark; and one brother, Charles Frank of Dexter. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

There are no services planned.

Interment will be at a later date in the Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
