Clarence Chaney

Clarence Chaney, son of the late Carl Printus Chaney and Bertie Hurley Chaney, was born on Sept. 17, 1941, in East Prairie and died at his residence in Sikeston on May 11, 2009, at the age of 67.

Mr. Chaney was an independent transportation truck driver and a resident of Sikeston.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Wheeler and Janey Tollison of Dexter; one grandson, Josey Roper of Dexter; one sister, Carla Sickle of Lake of the Ozarks; also by his long-time companion, Ann Hale of Sikeston.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Chaney and Pete Chaney; and one sister, Anunda Chaney.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
