Bobby Gene Smith, 67, Pontiac, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at his residence. He was born July 11, 1941, in Shaw to the late Eugene (Bud() and Irene (Pope) Smith.
Bobby married Trinita Theresa Ester Hann on April 22, 1961, in St. Louis. He was a retired Arkansas Best Freight Driver in Little Rock, Ark., working for them for 30 years. He was also a teamsters member for 33 years.
Bobby is survived by his wife Trinita of the home; three sons, Greggory Alan Smith and his wife Jackie of Dexter, Raymond Bruce Smith and his wife Michele of Albuquerque, N.M., and Michael Duane Smith and his wife Tirza of Pontiac; one daughter, Samantha Suzanne Roesch and her husband Patrick of Loami, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Casey Smith, Hannah Smith, Jordan Smith, Joshua Barnette, Tyla Barnette, Steve Roesch, and Shelby Smith; and one great-grandchild, Gracie Jane Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Irene Smith.
Visitation was held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville with Terry Miller officiating.
Interment followed in the Price Place Cemetery near Pontiac.
