Mr. Medlin had lived in the Dexter area all his life. He had been a contractor, carpenter and brick layer before his retirement. He was a past member of the Dexter Eagles Aerie. He had a strong faith in God and was baptized by Pastor Jimmy Kirby at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.
On Aug. 27, 1994, he was married to Maria A. Perez Clonch in Dexter.
Surviving are his wife, Maria A. Medlin of Dexter; three children, Daniel Clonch of Poplar Bluff, Angie McCoy of Malden, and Terri Buff of Farrell of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; three step-children, Kathy Riley, Danny Ray Riley and Randy Riley, all of St. Joseph; two brothers, Claude Levi Medlin, Jr. of Grassy, Willis Harold Medlin of Marion, Ind.; two sisters, Dorothy VanderMolen of Muskegon, Mich., and Zelpha McCann of Marion, Ind. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Everett Medlin; and two sisters, Edith Davis and Geraldine Richter.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009, after 10 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Sister Kathy Medlin of Grassy officiating.
