Mr. Burklow was of the Methodist faith, a former employee of General Motors in Flint, Mich., where he worked as a painter, had received his associate of arts degree from Mott Junior College in Flint and attended the University of Michigan at Flint.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Louise Burklow of Dexter; by one brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Susan Burklow of Lambertville, Mich.; one sister and brother-in-law, Malea and Paul Zwick of Gainesville, Fla.; three nephews, Jeffrey Burklow and wife Robin of Mundelein, Ill., Bradley Burklow of Missoula, Mont., and Garrett Burklow of Corpus Christi, Texas; his aunt, Shirley Haney of Puxico.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:30 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Susan Hoyle officiating.
Interment will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
