Mr. Fuwell was a self-employed contractor, and farmed for many years as a hobby. He was a member of the Essex Lions Club, and a resident of Bloomfield.
On Aug. 15, 1959 he was united in marriage to Bernadette Lucas in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Fuwell survives of the home in Bloomfield.
Besides his wife, other survivors include three sons, Norman Bradshaw of Malden, Butch Fuwell and Raymond Fuwell, both of Bloomfield; by three daughters, Sheila Fuwell of Dexter, Cindy Morton of Bloomfield, and Andrea Garris of Shreveport, La; also by 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leamond Lloyd Fuwell and Freeman "Bud" Fuwell; also by one granddaughter, Savannah Snider.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday May 22, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday May 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.
In Dexter with Rev. Larie Burdine officiating. Interment will follow at the Essex Cemetery in Essex.
