Two things.

First, 3 fine high school athletes who competed well in the area and deserve some level of recognition.

Second, what a horrible thing to replace the Hall of Fame game. This game used to be between 1A-2A All staters (total of 10, 5 first team from each class) and 3A-4A(same thing, 10 total). Amazing thing is the 1A-2A squad dominated for years, with one amazing upset being over Anthony Peeler's All Star team. In '89, the 3A-4A bunch beat the snot of out 1A-2A for the first time in 4 years.....120-80. The next year, the game was watered down and players were mixed together regardless of class.

I sure miss recognition meaning more. Now we have around 30 kids named All State in each class.

These 3 all may be deserving. I know one out of the 3 does for sure and the other two likely do as well, so cograts big time. I just wish there were some award that carried the weight of what being named All State used to mean.
