Bobby Gene Walker

Bobby Gene Walker, son of the late Raymond Walker and Maymie Reynolds Walker was born on Jan. 5, 1930 at Bernie and died on May 30, 2009 in his residence in Floral City , Fla. at the age of 79.

Bobby had lived in Dexter for many years, moving to Florida in 1994.

He is survived by four brothers, Dennis Walker (Lois) of St. Charles, Ill., Tom Walker (Lynn) of Summerfield, Fla., Don Walker (Dorothy) and Leroy "Sug" Walker (Melody) all of Dexter; by two sisters, Felma Condict of Floral City, Fla. and Peggy McGowen (C.L.) of Leesburg, Fla; many nieces and nephews who loved Uncle Bob dearly.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2009. Funeral services will then be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2009 in the Rainey Mathis Chapel in Bernie. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
