Clyde Webster

Clyde L. Webster, son of the late William R. Webster and Frances Miller Webster was born on May 28, 1922 in California and departed this life in his residence at Claypoole, Ariz. on May 15, 2009 at the age of 86.

Mr. Webster was a member of the Dudley Baptist Church, the former Treasurer at Harris Teachers College in St. Louis, a former insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, a former employee of Paramount Hat Factory in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Army serving in Central Intelligence Corp during World War II, a former resident of Dexter currently residing in Claypoole, Ariz.

He was united in marriage to Sylvia D. Matheny in 1949 at St. Louis. She preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 1992. He then was married to Pearlina Asberry in the state of Ariz. She preceded him in death in 2001.

Survivors include three daughters, Sylvia L. Webster of Dexter, Patricia Halvorson of Las Vegas, Nev. and Lisa Ozbun of Doniphan; by four sons, Clyde Webster Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., William Webster of Poplar Bluff, John Webster of the state of Florida and David Webster of Jackson; by one step-son, Wayne Asberry of Claypoole, Ariz.; by seven grandchildren. Mr. Webster will be missed by his many family members and friends.

Besides his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ethel Webster; by one brother, Ray Webster and by several sisters.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date in Globe, Ariz. with interment in the Globe Cemetery.
