Jerry Sandusky, son of the late Jack Sandusky and Mattie Crain Sandusky, was born on Sept. 25, 1943 in Powe, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on June 8, 2009 at the age of 65.

Mr. Sandusky was a former employee with Federal Mogul in Malden for 32 years, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a resident of Dexter.

On April 2, 1966, he was united in marriage to Janet Hensley in Kansas City. Mrs. Sandusky survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, other survivors include one daughter, Sonia Graham of Puxico; one brother, Bill Sandusky of Pyletown; one sister, Sue Barker of Parma; and by three grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry "Bo" Sandusky; two sisters, Jewell Tryon and Wanda Driver.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Everett Owens officiating.

Interment will follow in the Smith-Stevenson Cemetery.
