International track star!

MaKayla Waldner of Dexter was recently part of an international field for a track and field meet in Berlin, Germany. MaKayla, the 11-year-old daughter of Bob and Kim Waldner of Dexter, brought home a first in the 65-meter hurdles (10.74), a fourth in the shot putt (25'7"), a fourth in the 800 meter run (2:45) and a sixth in the long jump (14'). MaKayla is a member of the Cleats of Fire Track and Field club coached by Kevin Ellis. She was invited to the 16.International Pfingstsportfest competition after competing in the AAU Indoor Nationals. She was accompanied on the trip by her mother and coach Ellis, along with five other area athletes. Six countries were represented at the international meet.

Congratulations on a good job well done. You are a STAR has a athlete. If you are good this young. Just wait and see what you will be like when you get older.
