Mrs. Veda M. Pryor

Mrs. Veda M. Pryor, age 88, of Anna, Ill., dies at 5:50 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter. She was born September 7, 1920 in Tennessee, the daughter of William & Flora Stephens Medling. She married Elmer Harry Pryor, May 18, 1943 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1964.

Veda is survived by three children, Elmer Pryor and wife Barbara of Dexter, MO, Janet Schildknecht of Anna, and Barbara Walshon and husband Scott of Santa Maria, CA; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Harry Pryor; two brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of the Anna Church of Christ and retired from Florsheim Shoe Company in Anna.

Funeral services for Mrs. Veda Pryor were at 1p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Minister R. W. McAlister officiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery. Visitation was after 12 noon on Monday until the funeral hour at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions can be made to Stoddard Co. A.R.C. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
