Adam White of Bernie pulls in a perch at the Dexter City Pond on Thursday afternoon while his grandmother, Mary Pattillo of Dexter, watches from her chair on the dock. White was catching mostly perch and crappie. Also shown in the background on the dock are Brad PeProw with David and Steven Stidman, all of Dexter. Temperatures have been extremely hot for the last week. A bank sign indicated it was 97 degrees Thursday afternoon. There is no relief from the heat forecast until next week.

GO Dexter Pond...people travel miles and miles to fish there. That water must be 90 degrees by now...and the fish are mostly catatonic from heat and lack of O2. Poor fishies.
Hahaha! Catatonic fish would be hard to catch!
And --- Do they have any more TREES than they used to? The last time I saw it, it was just a big, bare piece of water. Doesn't sound like a cool place to me!
