Hilda Maxine Brown, daughter of the late Robert Harrison Borders and Flarah Elvira Borders, was born on Sept. 8, 1919, at Campbell and died Monday, June 22, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Malden.
She attended Bethany General Baptist Church in Campbell.
On Aug. 1, 1936, she was united in marriage to Dawsey Thomas Brown. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2000.
Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Borders Chroust and husband Dave of Batavia, Ill.; one son, Larry Brown of Bernie; two sisters, Elsie Wilhite of Monroe, La., and Gladys Lemonds of Auburndale, Fla.; two grandsons, Ben Brown and wife Darla of Malden and Tom Betsinger and wife Samantha of DelKalb, Ill.; two granddaughters, Darla D. Brown of Arlington, Va., and Jill Martin and husband Dennis of Aurora, Ill.; four great-granddaughters, Hanah Brown and Rylie Brown, both of Malden, Stella Betsinger of DeKalb, Ill., and Elena Martin of Aurora, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Obie Bordrs and Dale Borders; and one sister, Ora East.
Visitation was held Thursday, June 25, 2009, after 6 p.m. at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, at Bethany General Baptist Church in Campbell with Rev. Bryan Johnson officiatiing.
Interment followed at Bethany Cemetery in Campbell.
